Traditions at Brookside feels more like a relaxing home than a senior living community.

The people who live here have everything they need under one roof, including a theater, club room, fine dining, and a range of activities.

“From the majestic look of the white house on the plains to the homey feeling of the dark wood interior, this facility is a place we would like our loved ones to live”, said Jack Pardue, OMS’s Senior Construction Administrator.

The philosophy at Brookside is empowering to the people who live there. The staff want to create a community atmosphere that positively encourages residents to be independent and social.

One aspect that promotes a more social living environment are the spacious courtyards.

Ben Rawlins, Director of Site Planning at OMS said, “A large patio filled with comfortable chairs, tables and colorful umbrellas is located adjacent to interior gathering spaces which works to visually and physically tie the interior and exterior spaces together. The central lawn in the middle of the outer walk is made more interesting by multi-textured and multi-seasonal colored flowers of shrubs and perennial flowers that define the edges and help separate the public patio spaces from the more private residential spaces surrounding the courtyard edge.”

These new and improved facilities focus on their residents living as independently as their health allows, and Brookside is no exception.
