I recently enjoyed reading an IUPUI news story about an interior design student who designed a “safe house” to protect child-led families in Swaziland.  At OMS, we believe in community involvement, and we are glad to see that IUPUI is encouraging its students to use the knowledge and skills they are learning in the classroom to benefit not.

I recently enjoyed reading the article, DIY Houses In The Internet Age: Some Assembly Required and thought it to be relevant to solving todays housing challenges.  According to the story, “if you can barely swing a hammer, you can still build your own home,” and those at the Maker Faire in New York City proved that.
